Tushinskaya, Moscow Metro station
Tushinskaya is a railway station in northwestern Moscow, located on Proezd Stratonavtov and serving commuters with connections across the city and the surrounding region. It has two platforms alongside ticket counters, waiting areas, and small shops for passengers.
The station opened in 1901 and gradually became a key transport point for the district over the following decades. Electrification came in 1945, making train service faster and more frequent along the line.
The station took its current name in 2019 to align with nearby metro stations and local transport lines. For residents, it functions as a daily hub connecting them to different parts of the city and surrounding areas.
The station connects to the nearby metro station through pedestrian bridges and an underground passage, making transfers between train and metro straightforward. Bus routes on both sides of the building link the area to surrounding neighborhoods.
The station was renamed in 2019 to match the nearby metro station, after operating under a different name for decades. The old direct bridge crossing that once connected commuters to the platforms has since been closed, so reaching the trains now requires passing through the metro station.
