Blagodat, Mountain summit in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia
The Blagodat summit rises to 364 meters above sea level, stretching 2.5 kilometers from north to south parallel to the Ural mountain ridge.
In 1735, hunter Stepan Chumpin discovered magnetic ironstone deposits at Blagodat mountain, leading to the establishment of mining operations and the town of Kushva.
The mountain features a cast-iron monument with a bowl of flames dedicated to Stepan Chumpin, who, according to local tales, faced punishment for revealing the ore location.
The Salda River originates at the foot of Blagodat mountain, while established paths provide access to both mining operations and recreational activities.
Apollinary Vasnetsov captured the mountain's significance in his 1891 painting 'A Road to the Blagodat Mountain', displayed at the Tretyakov Gallery.
