Yaushev State Music Theater

The Yaushev State Music Theater is an opera house in Saransk with 714 seats and 138 crystal lamps that elegantly light the auditorium. The building includes rehearsal spaces and a recording studio equipped with international technology for concert documentation.

The theater was founded in 1935 with Carl Millöcker's operetta Der Bettelstudent and has undergone several renovations since then. Its current form was established in September 2011, offering modernized facilities for international performances.

The theater presents operas and ballet performances year-round, with Russian classics alongside international productions on stage. Audiences experience both traditional and contemporary works that reflect the musical variety of the region.
