Zabaykalskiy Krayevoy Dramaticheskiy Teatr

Zabaykalskiy Krayevoy Dramaticheskiy Teatr is a regional drama theater in Chita with a modern glass facade and contemporary stage equipment. The facility underwent extensive renovation from 2019 to 2022, gaining a rotating platform that enhances its technical capabilities.

The theater was founded in 1939 and arrived in Chita from Samara, where it had operated as the Theater of Working Youth with a small initial company. Its current name was adopted in 2022 to honor Nikolai Alekseevich Berezin and his contributions to the development of theatrical arts.

The theater presents classical works by Chekhov and Gogol alongside contemporary Russian productions, offering audiences both familiar stories and fresh interpretations.

The theater is located in central Chita and maintains regular performances throughout the year. Visitors can purchase tickets at the box office or check the current schedule to plan their visit.
