Olympia Stadium, Volgograd

Olympia Stadium is a multi-purpose sports facility in Volgograd with a circular design reaching 49.5 meters in height and a distinctive facade featuring diamond-shaped openings. The arena accommodates approximately 45,000 spectators with separate areas for media, VIP guests, and visitors with mobility needs.

The stadium was constructed starting in 2014 after excavation workers discovered and carefully removed some 300 unexploded World War II bombs from the site. This discovery of wartime remnants significantly delayed the project but underscored the historical importance of the location to the city.

The stadium serves as home to football club FK Rotor Volgograd and shapes the city's character with its contemporary design. It brings together supporters and visitors who gather to share their passion for local sports.
