Озёрный лесопарк

Ozerny Forest Park is a large woodland reserve with multiple lakes, marshes, and expansive pine forests throughout its terrain. The landscape features a mix of open water areas and dense forest zones that create varied environments within the park.

The forest was established in 1935 as part of a green belt protecting Moscow's eastern boundary. A memorial within its grounds honors soldiers who fell during World War II.

The park serves as a local retreat where residents fish for carp and pike throughout the seasons and gather wild plants. It remains an important place for both recreation and connecting with nature for nearby communities.

The park is accessible by train from central Moscow, followed by a short minibus ride to the main entrance area. Well-marked paths wind through the forest, allowing visitors to navigate on foot through different sections.

The wetlands act as natural water purification areas while protecting plant species that are rarely found elsewhere. This ecological role makes the park an important sanctuary for specialized vegetation.
