Cherkizovo Park

Cherkizovo Park is a protected regional heritage site in Moscow that combines natural woodlands, walking trails, and historical religious architecture. The grounds feature expansive landscaping with native vegetation and various structures that visitors encounter as they move through the space.

The area dates to 1377, when it was known as Serkizovskoye and belonged to the nearby Chudov Monastery. The protected park as it exists today was formally established in 1936.

The Church of Elijah the Prophet stands within the park and displays Russian Revival architecture that reflects the area's Orthodox heritage. The structure sits within a landscape that continues to serve the local community as a place where religious traditions and natural spaces intersect.
