Тантрический монастырь Владыки Зонкавы, Buddhist tantric monastery in Gorodovikovsk, Russia.
The Tantric Monastery of Master Zonkava is a three-level religious structure with a prayer hall holding about 150 people and dedicated meditation spaces. The building combines traditional Russian architecture with Buddhist design, using the top floor for retreat programs.
The project was developed by monk Tubten Tinley, who studied for thirty years at the Gyuto Tantric Monastery and earned a doctorate in tantric sciences. His expertise shaped the founding and spiritual direction of this place.
The site serves as a center for tantric Buddhist practices where visitors and local people can join meditation sessions, yoga classes, and spiritual discussions. Daily use by practitioners shapes the rhythm here and creates a space for shared spiritual learning.
The site offers accommodations year-round in dormitories and private rooms, allowing visits ranging from short excursions to extended spiritual retreats. The programs are structured to welcome both beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
The building uses wooden construction on the third level, a feature that gives the retreat spaces a warm, handcrafted quality. This architectural choice creates a different feeling from other religious structures in the region.
