Shitovskoe

Shitovskoe Lake is a freshwater body located at the edge of Verkhnyaya Pyshma that covers a substantial area and shapes the northern part of the city. The water is framed by forested shores that slope down to meet it, giving the place a natural setting.

The lake was already an important natural feature of the landscape long before the region's modern development took shape. During the industrial growth of the area through the 20th century, it remained a consistent geographical element in the changing terrain.

The lake serves as a gathering place for people from Verkhnyaya Pyshma, especially during warmer months when visitors come for fishing and picnicking. These spaces have maintained their role in community life as spots for relaxation and social connection over time.

The shoreline is accessible via roads and paths leading from the city to the lake, with parking areas available nearby. The lake remains open year-round, though conditions are most favorable during the warmer months for visiting.

During winter months, the lake surface transforms into solid ice, allowing people to walk across and fish through holes in the frozen layer. This seasonal shift creates an entirely different character for the place and opens new ways to experience it.
