Zyuzino, Metro station in southern Moscow, Russia
Zyuzino is a metro station in southern Moscow, on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line. It has an island platform, meaning trains going in both directions stop on either side of the same central platform.
The station opened on December 7, 2021, as part of an extension that connected several southern neighborhoods to the ring line. It was one of several stations that completed a section of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line that had been planned for years.
The station design represents contemporary Russian transportation architecture with its incorporation of modern interior elements and passenger facilities.
The station is entirely underground and has both escalators and elevators, making it accessible for people with limited mobility. Signs are clear and easy to follow, so finding your way is straightforward even on a first visit.
The Bolshaya Koltsevaya line, on which this station sits, is one of the longest circular metro lines in the world at roughly 43 miles (70 km). Riding the full loop without stopping takes close to two hours.
