Falsterbonäs Open Air Museum, Public sculpture park in Höllviken, Sweden.
Falsterbonäs Open Air Museum is a sculpture park with bronze works placed along a promenade between Falsterbonäset beach and County Road 100. The artworks stand on granite pedestals and form an outdoor gallery that anyone can walk through.
The park opened in 2008 and started from a collection of sculptures that the Allan and Bo Hjelts foundation donated to Vellinge municipality. These works were arranged as a permanent outdoor display along the beach.
The site displays portrait busts of notable figures within a public seaside setting where visitors encounter them during a walk. These sculptures create moments of reflection as people move along the promenade.
The park is open year-round without requiring tickets to visit. The flat terrain and level promenade make it an easy route for walking in any season or weather.
Artist Gudmar Olovson created all the works in the park, dedicating them to portraits of international figures like Ingrid Bergman and other well-known people. This choice links a small Swedish coastal community to figures of global importance.
