Helgalunden

Helgalunden is a public park in Södermalm that spreads across a hill called Tjurberget with green spaces and recreational areas throughout. The park is defined by eight groves and bordering streets, including Rosenlundsparken, Tjurbergsgatan, and Götgatan, offering distinct zones for different uses in its northern and southern sections.

The park was designed in the 1930s by architect Per Olof Hallman during a major period of residential development in Stockholm. This planning reflected the city's effort to create modern, livable neighborhoods during a time of rapid urban growth.

The Church of All Saints stands in the center of the park and creates a natural gathering place for the neighborhood throughout the year. You will notice how this focal point shapes the rhythm of local life and regularly draws people from the surrounding area.
