Eriksdalslunden, Public park in Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden.

Eriksdalslunden is a public park in Södermalm that stretches from the swimming facility to Ringvägen, offering spacious lawns and hundreds of allotment gardens. The site is connected by walking paths and borders the Årstaviken waterfront, allowing visitors to experience the water from different vantage points.

The park takes its name from Erik Almgren's farm Eriksdal, which stood at this location in the early 1800s on the site where the swimming facility now exists. The allotment gardens were added later and have shaped the landscape ever since.

The allotment gardens define the character of this green space and show how local residents value cultivating their own plots of land. Today visitors can observe people tending vegetables and flowers across the area, giving the park a lived-in and personal feel.

The park is accessible through a stone staircase from Ringvägen and features different areas for walking and relaxing along with a playground in the center. Visitors should know that the allotment gardens are private spaces and should be viewed from the pathways only.

Soviet bombs fell in the area in 1944, with two landing in the park itself while one destroyed a nearby theater that stood at the time. This is a little-known chapter in Stockholm's experience during World War II.
