Värmlands nation

Värmlands nation is a large brick building in Uppsala designed by architect Ragnar Östberg that serves as a gathering hub for students. Inside you will find a medieval cellar pub, study areas, a library, and multiple rooms for social events and meetings.

This nation was founded in 1660 as a meeting place for students arriving from the Värmland and Dalsland regions of Sweden. Over the centuries it became a central institution for both academic and social life among the student body.

Members participate in activities through various groups including a choir, football club, dance ensemble, and contribute to the Wermlandus newspaper publication.
