Amerikahuset spans six floors with a total area of 11,230 square meters, featuring concrete construction and a distinctive attic level at Barlastgatan street.
Svenska Lloyd established the building between 1919 and 1925, initially planning it as a workshop facility before Svenska Amerika Linien acquired the project in 1923.
The structure represents early 20th-century Swedish industrial architecture, with natural stone details crafted by Johan Axel Wetterlund adorning the entrance.
Located near Masthuggstorget, the building offers access to tram lines 3, 9, and 11, while Järntorget transport hub remains within walking distance.
The building contains 56 apartments alongside 5,000 square meters of office and retail space, following extensive renovations at the end of the 1990s.
