Rörstrands slott, Renaissance château in Vasastaden, Sweden
The château stands at the intersection of Rörstrandsgatan and Bråvallagatan, featuring smooth plastered facades and black-glazed roof tiles from the 17th century.
Magnus Ladulås donated the Rörstrand area to Klara Abbey in the 13th century, initiating a long history of ownership changes and different uses.
The Stockholm City Museum marked the building with blue classification, recognizing its high architectural and historical value within the urban landscape.
The château currently houses a café and will soon accommodate Kaggeholms Folk High School after extensive renovations of the premises.
The building contains preserved cellar vaults from the 15th century and displays some of the finest tiled stoves produced by the former Rörstrand porcelain factory.
