Skinnarviksparken

Skinnarviksparken is a park on a hill south of Söder Mälarstrand with grass areas, rocky surfaces, and many tree types. From here you look out over Riddarfjärden water and the shores of Stockholm.

In the 18th century this spot was where tanners worked, doing their jobs away from Stockholm's center. This craft heritage shaped the land before it became the park we see today.

The eastern side keeps its natural wild look with rocks and trees, while the western side has mowed grass and clear paths. This mix shows how the city lets nature and development exist side by side.

The park sits on a hill with several viewing spots where you can see Stockholm's waterfront and islands. Wear good shoes since some paths go over rocks and uneven ground.

A playground with a hot air balloon design was renovated in 2018, giving children an imaginative play space. This themed setup stands out from typical park designs and draws families.
