Taubehuset, Göteborg, Individual listed building complex in Majorna district, Gothenburg, Sweden
The two-story timber building measures 27 meters in length and 7.5 meters in width, featuring a broken roof with two dormers.
Built in 1796 as an office and residential building for Warfvet Kusten, Taubehuset served as the headquarters for shipbuilding operations until 1893.
The building contains a preserved chamber of Evert Taube on the top floor, displaying artifacts and items from his life and creative work.
The building houses three apartments on the second floor, consisting of two units with two rooms and kitchen, and one with three rooms and kitchen.
In 1967, the entire structure was relocated 100 meters to Majnabbeberget to prevent its demolition during the expansion of Gothenburg Harbor.
