The restaurant opened in 1945 and remains one of Stockholm's oldest dining establishments with its original interior largely intact. Its interior design was reworked in the 1960s by a notable designer and has remained largely unchanged since then.
The name comes from a theater that once stood nearby, and this artistic connection is visible in the decorations and artworks displayed throughout the dining spaces. The restaurant opens Monday through Saturday from 5 PM and stays open until midnight on weekends, closing on Sundays. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends, since the intimate space fills up quickly.
