Ojstrica

Ojstrica stands at 2,350 meters elevation with a distinctive pyramid-shaped peak composed primarily of limestone, featuring steep walls and dramatic escarpments that descend toward the Logar Valley and Roban Cirque.

The Kamnik Alps region including Ojstrica has been frequented by mountaineers and travelers for centuries, serving as a natural boundary and navigation landmark with local legends surrounding its rugged terrain.

The mountain's name derives from the Slovene word 'oster' meaning 'sharp', reflecting its pointed summit that appears in regional stories and legends symbolizing resilience and natural beauty for local communities.

The demanding T3 hiking trail to the summit covers approximately 15 kilometers with 1,100 meters of ascent, starting from Podvezak parking lot and taking around 7 hours to complete with proper alpine equipment required.

Ojstrica ranks as the 13th highest peak in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and features multiple established climbing routes on its 600-meter high northern wall, making it a prime destination for technical rock climbing.
