Peričnik Falls

Two cascading water streams fall from limestone cliffs, with the lower section reaching 52 meters and the upper section measuring 16 meters in height.

The waterfall changed its course multiple times through geological periods, carving deep grooves into the rock wall that remain visible to present day.

The protected natural heritage site stands as a symbol of water preservation, following past proposals to harness its power for electrical generation.

A marked path from Mojstrana leads visitors to the waterfall, with the lower section accessible through a ten-minute walk from Peričnik mountain hut.

The water stream creates a natural corridor behind the falls, allowing visitors to walk completely around and observe the cascade from all angles.
