Premonštrátsky kláštor v Jasove

The monastery features a rectangular layout with a central church dividing the complex into two wings: convent and prelature sections.

The monastery, initially constructed in 1228 as a wooden structure, underwent reconstruction between 1421 and 1436 to become a fortified Gothic complex.

The monastery library extends along the axis of St. John the Baptist Church, distinguished by an elevated facade projection containing religious manuscripts.

Guided tours operate from June 15 to September 15 between 10:00 and 14:00, with admission fees of 2 euros for adults and 1 euro for students.

The monastery incorporates 365 windows, 12 chimneys, and four main entrances, representing the days, months, and seasons of the year.
