Hiran

Hiran is an administrative region in central Somalia encompassing eight districts across a vast territory. The Shebelle River flows through the landscape and serves as a vital water source for communities throughout the region.

The region experienced disruption during Somalia's civil conflict in the 1990s. From the late 1990s onwards, conditions stabilized more than in many other parts of the country.
