Grand Serail d'Alep

Grand Serail d'Alep is a three-story administrative building located near the Citadel of Aleppo. The Palace of Justice and Hammam Yalbugha stand to its east.

Syrian-Armenian architect Kegham Akgulian designed this structure, which opened in 1933 during the French mandate period in Syria. It was built during a time of administrative reorganization under French administration.

The building functioned as Aleppo's main administrative center until 2008, reflecting the city's political evolution through different eras. It shaped the urban character of the central governmental district with its prominent presence.
