Khan Na Yao District, Administrative district in Eastern Bangkok, Thailand
Khan Na Yao is an administrative district in eastern Bangkok consisting of two sub-districts covering approximately 26 square kilometers. The area spreads along Kanjanaphisek Road and contains a mix of residential zones, industrial parks, and recreational facilities.
The district was created in 1997 through division from neighboring Bueng Kum District, marking the shift from pure agricultural land to urban space. Rapid urbanization in the following years transformed the landscape significantly.
The name Khan Na Yao comes from Thai language meaning "long paddy-field ridge", honoring the agricultural past of this area. Walking through different neighborhoods, traces of that farming history remain visible in the land layout.
The district office provides administrative services along Kanjanaphisek Road and is reachable by phone. Visitors should note that the best time to explore different areas is during the drier months outside the rainy season.
The area contains multiple golf courses and a major amusement park, making it a popular recreation destination for locals. This mix of sports and entertainment facilities sets it apart from purely residential districts.
