Osmaniye, Administrative center in southern Turkey
Osmaniye is a city in southern Turkey located on the eastern edge of the Çukurova plain. It sits in a low-lying agricultural area near the Mediterranean region with a landscape shaped by farming and local commerce.
The region was known as Cebeli Bereket during Ottoman rule and received its current name in 1923. It gained provincial status in 1996 after becoming administratively separate from Adana.
