Çamlıca TRT Television Tower

The Çamlıca TRT Television Tower is a 369-meter-high transmission structure in Üsküdar that accommodates broadcasting facilities alongside public spaces across 49 floors. The tower features restaurants and observation decks that provide panoramic views spanning both the Asian and European sides of Istanbul.

The tower resulted from a design competition organized by Istanbul's municipal authorities, with construction beginning in October 2015. The structure opened to the public in May 2021, concluding a multi-year building process.

The tower's design draws inspiration from traditional Ottoman patterns, creating a modern structure that references historical visual traditions. Visitors notice how the building stands as a contemporary landmark while acknowledging the city's design heritage.

The tower is accessible by public transport and offers viewing opportunities from multiple upper levels throughout the day. Visitors should prepare for varying weather conditions at height and wear comfortable clothing suited for exploring multiple floors.

The structure functions as a transmission hub housing approximately 100 radio stations without frequency interference between broadcasts. This technical capacity allows numerous stations to operate simultaneously from a single location.
