Temple of Augustus in Ankara, Roman temple in Altındağ, Turkey.
The Temple of Augustus sits on a two-meter-high podium and features Corinthian columns, with dimensions of 36 by 54 meters.
The temple was constructed between 25-20 BCE after Emperor Augustus conquered central Anatolia and established the province of Galatia.
The walls contain inscriptions of Res Gestae Divi Augusti in Latin and Greek, documenting the achievements of the first Roman emperor.
The structure stands next to Hacı Bayram Mosque, and visitors can view the remaining foundation walls and stepped sections surrounding the platform.
This temple preserves the most complete surviving copy of Augustus's autobiography, known as the Monumentum Ancyranum.
