Kurşunlu Han, Ottoman caravanserai in Fatih district, Istanbul, Turkey
The Kurşunlu Han features two levels of stone chambers arranged around a central courtyard with pointed archways connecting different sections of the structure.
Built during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent in the 16th century, this caravanserai provided accommodation for merchants traveling along major trade routes.
The caravanserai represents Ottoman social infrastructure, where travelers from different regions gathered to exchange goods and share stories of their journeys.
Located near the Grand Bazaar, the caravanserai opens daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with guided tours available in multiple languages.
The structure maintains its original stone walls and traditional Ottoman architectural elements, including water fountains and individual merchant chambers.
