Garip Dede Türbesi is a two-story building with a community kitchen on the ground floor and a prayer hall above. The spaces are simply arranged to serve both spiritual gatherings and social functions.
The site began as the burial place of Garip Dede, a 16th-century Anatolian spiritual leader linked to Gül Baba of Hungary through religious brotherhood. It became a formal shrine in 1995 when dedicated facilities for prayer and community activities were added.
The shrine operates as a spiritual center managed by the Alevi Associations Federation, where religious ceremonies take place throughout the year. Visitors can observe how the space brings community members together for prayer and fellowship.
The shrine welcomes visitors year-round and operates a community kitchen that regularly serves meals to all who come. The space is open and accessible, making it easy to visit whenever you wish.
The site was transformed by Nurettin Şen, who developed the simple grave into a structured space with designated prayer and kitchen areas. This personal initiative demonstrates how local commitment can build a functioning shrine.
