Piri Mehmed Pasha Mosque, Ottoman mosque in Silivri, Turkey.

Piri Mehmed Pasha Mosque is a prayer house in Silivri built following Ottoman architectural principles, featuring a central dome over the main prayer space with additional smaller domes positioned around it. The complex includes a courtyard with an octagonal water fountain at its center, serving the community's ritual needs.

This prayer house was established in 1530 under the patronage of Grand Vizier Piri Mehmed Pasha and underwent major renovations over the centuries. Significant restoration work took place in 1765, 1895, and from 2013 to 2016, shaping its present appearance.

The interior walls showcase traditional Ottoman artistry with hand-drawn decorative details and Arabic calligraphy that reflect devotion and spiritual connection. Visitors walking through the prayer space can directly observe and appreciate these handcrafted elements.

The location is easily accessible and remains open for daily prayers, with the latest restoration completed in 2016 providing visitors with well-maintained facilities. Visitors should keep in mind that this is an active place of worship with customary access and respect guidelines to follow.

The adjacent graveyard holds marble sarcophagi of both Piri Mehmed Pasha and his son Muhyiddin Mehmed Râşid Efendi, connecting the family to this important location. These burial sites are visible to visitors and tell the story of this dynasty.
