Fil Bridge

Fil Bridge is a pedestrian structure in Silahtaraga that spans across a creek and links different urban areas. The construction uses solid materials and serves both pedestrians and motorcycles crossing between neighborhoods.

The structure was built in the early 1930s during a period of urban development in Istanbul. It was created as part of the infrastructure connecting growing neighborhoods across the city.

The bridge stands near the former Silahtaraga Power Station and connects different residential neighborhoods with the cultural complex that now occupies the site. It remains part of how residents and visitors move through this area of industrial heritage.

The crossing is easily accessible on foot and provides a direct route through the neighborhood. Visitors should note that it only permits pedestrians and motorcycles, so traffic remains light.

The bridge leads directly to SantralIstanbul, a converted power plant that now houses museums and a university campus. This makes it an important gateway to one of the city's most interesting cultural destinations.
