The Istanbul Anatolia Palace of Justice spans over 300,000 square meters and contains three hundred courtrooms to serve the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
The courthouse opened in 2013 as part of Turkey's initiative to modernize judicial facilities and improve access to legal services in growing urban areas.
The building design follows contemporary commercial architecture patterns, moving away from traditional courthouse elements that characterized earlier Turkish judicial structures.
Located near the E-5 highway in Cevizli neighborhood, the courthouse processes thousands of legal cases daily with a staff of five thousand government personnel.
The structure functions as Europe's largest courthouse, incorporating numerous administrative offices and public service facilities within its expansive complex.
