The Taipei Municipal Taipei First Girls' High School is a historic girls' school in Zhongzheng District, Taiwan. The campus covers roughly 26,000 square meters with six main buildings, including the Guang-Fu Building from 1933 and the Zhi-Shan Building from 1993.
This institution was founded in 1904 during Japanese rule as the Taihoku Prefectural Taihoku First Girls' High School. After administrative changes in Taiwan, the school received its current name in 1967.
The students wear green shirts with black skirts or trousers, a uniform introduced to set them apart from the nearby Presidential Office during air raids. This wartime decision became a lasting tradition that connects generations of graduates.
The institution admits students who score well on the national Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students. The selective criteria make admission competitive and reflect high academic expectations.
The marching band at this institution consists of 80 students in their second year who perform at national events. This group has repeatedly earned top honors at nationwide wind music competitions.
