Fengyuan District

Fengyuan District is an administrative area on the southern bank of the Dajia River in northern Taichung that mixes residential neighborhoods with commercial zones. The district is crossed by major roads connecting it to surrounding areas and contains shops, restaurants, and local businesses.

The area began as an indigenous territory before becoming an agricultural zone under historical governance. Over time it developed into a mixed urban area with neighborhoods and businesses growing around central transportation routes.

The Miaodong Night Market serves as a gathering place where locals come together to eat and shop in the evening hours. It reflects how residents spend their free time and what foods matter most to the community.

The district is accessible through railway connections and bus services that connect to major highways. Getting around the area works best using local buses, motorcycles, or taxis since neighborhoods spread across different zones.

The Lacquer Art Museum in the district displays traditional craft techniques through specialized collections. The museum tells the story of how artisans have preserved their skills over many years.
