Miao Dong Night Market is a night market in Fengyuan District with hundreds of food stalls and retail shops spread across interconnected streets. The offerings range from prepared meals to merchandise, serving evening visitors with diverse shopping and dining choices.

The market began developing in 1963 near Feng Chia University from simple food stands. Over the decades, it grew into a major commercial center serving the wider Taichung area.

Food stalls here showcase traditional Taiwanese street dishes such as fermented tofu, grilled seafood, and bubble tea that reflect local eating habits. Visitors can watch these dishes being prepared right in front of them as they cook over open flames and move directly into containers.

The market is easiest to reach by bus routes 25 or 45 from Taichung city center, with most vendors operating from late afternoon until midnight. This window gives visitors time to explore at a comfortable pace without rushing through the crowds.

The market has self-service beverage stations designed like gas pumps where customers select from numerous tea varieties. This unusual setup blends everyday objects with local drink traditions in a playful way that catches visitors by surprise.
