Dashu District

Dashu District is an administrative division in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, stretching along the Kaoping River and blending residential areas with agricultural zones. It is home to I-Shou University, several schools, and the Fo Guang Shan complex with religious facilities.

The area was originally a rural township in Kaohsiung County before becoming a district when incorporated into Kaohsiung City in 2010. This administrative change brought new infrastructure and development to the region.

The Fo Guang Shan complex shapes spiritual life here with its temples and Buddha Memorial Center that draw visitors from across the region. This religious site reflects how Buddhism remains central to the community's identity.

Visitors will find several schools and I-Shou University serving as useful landmarks throughout the area. The district remains easily navigable with a mix of urban services and more rural zones.

E-Da World sits here as an entertainment complex with a theme park, shopping mall, and hotels all in one location. This facility represents one of the larger recreational destinations in suburban Kaohsiung.
