Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, Buddhist temple and museum in Dashu District, Taiwan
The museum spans across multiple halls containing Buddhist artifacts, statues, scriptures, and art pieces displayed in chronological and thematic arrangements.
The establishment of the museum in 2011 followed the reception of Buddha's tooth relic from Rinpoche Kunga Dorje, who safeguarded it for thirty years.
Eight pagodas within the museum grounds represent different Buddhist concepts, complemented by educational spaces that explain traditional practices and philosophies.
The museum welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with free admission and provides guided tours in multiple languages.
The Great Buddha statue, completed in 2011, required 1800 tons of metal and stands as the central monument of the museum complex.
