Fengbin, Administrative township in Hualien County, Taiwan.
Fengbin is an administrative township in Hualien County located between the Pacific Ocean and the Hai'an Range, spanning around 162 square kilometers. The area divides into five administrative villages such as Jiqi and Gangkou, distributed across the landscape.
The area received its current name during Japanese occupation to avoid confusion with another location in Taichung Province. This name change from Xinshe Village marks an important shift in local administrative history.
The Amis, Kavalan, and Sakizaya peoples live across the five villages and maintain their languages and traditions as part of daily life.
Provincial Highway No. 11 and Provincial Highway No. 11A connect the area to surrounding regions and make it easy to reach. Exploring the different villages and coastal landscapes works best by car.
The Shitiping Scenic Area displays natural rock formations along the Pacific coast where seasonal whale migrations can be observed. This coastal section attracts many visitors wanting to experience the natural show up close.
