Description
Yuli Township spreads across land between two mountain ranges in Hualien County, containing fifteen villages that function as the southern administrative hub of the area. The settlement sits within the Huatung Valley and serves as a key municipal center.
History
After World War II, when Taiwan reorganized its territorial divisions from the Japanese system to its current form, Yuli Township took its present administrative shape. This restructuring established the modern boundaries and governance that define the area today.
