New Taipei Metropolitan Park encompasses 424 hectares of green spaces along the Erchong Floodway, featuring wetlands, sports facilities, and recreational areas.
The park emerged from urban development plans that combined flood prevention infrastructure with public recreation spaces in northern Taiwan.
The Parent-Child Playground incorporates 31 slides designed to represent Taiwan's indigenous species, connecting children with local wildlife through play.
Visitors can access the park directly from Taipei Metro Sanchong station and enjoy facilities from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including water sports at Breeze Canal.
The park contains the world's largest inclusive slide area, featuring an 800-meter slide and numerous recreational structures suitable for people of all abilities.
