Cihui Mazu Temple, Traditional Chinese temple in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Cihui Mazu Temple is a Chinese temple located in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The building features ornate decorations, detailed carvings, and ceramic elements throughout its exterior and interior walls, displaying traditional architectural designs.

The site was established in the late nineteenth century, beginning as a small shrine. It grew alongside the expansion of Hoklo communities in the region.

The temple serves as a center for devotion to Mazu, the sea goddess, with yearly festivals featuring traditional music, processions, and ceremonial offerings visible throughout the year. Visitors can witness how local people mark important dates and celebrate their faith through these public rituals and gatherings.

The temple is open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM for visitors to observe religious activities and explore the grounds. Early morning or late afternoon visits tend to be less crowded, offering a better experience for observing details and taking photographs.

The site houses ancient objects from the Qing Dynasty, including dragon columns and plaques dating from the Guangxu and Tongzhi periods. These rare pieces are integrated into the structure, revealing the depth of the temple's long past.
