Banqiao 435 Art Zone

Banqiao 435 Art Zone is an art complex in Banqiao District, Taiwan, housing artist studios, exhibition halls, design studios, and rehearsal spaces for performances. The site contains multiple buildings arranged to accommodate various creative practices and public viewing of artworks and events.

This location served as training quarters for veterans before being transformed into a cultural center in 2012 by New Taipei City authorities. The conversion repurposed the existing buildings to support arts and creative industries in the region.

Artists and creative teams here work across visual arts, performance, sculpture, design, and music, sharing the space as a working community. The studios remain active centers where visitors can encounter ongoing creative work and meet makers in their working spaces.

The site is open to visitors who can walk freely through the grounds and explore different studios and exhibitions. Some exhibition halls may have specific viewing times or charges, so it is helpful to check ahead for events or activities that interest you.

The Wetland Story House within the grounds uses interactive displays to teach visitors about local ecosystems and conservation efforts. This addition stands out as it bridges artistic practice with environmental education in an unexpected way.
