Yuanshan

Yuanshan is a mountain summit in Sanxia with wooden pathways winding through thick forest vegetation toward multiple vantage points. The trails connect different elevations and allow visitors to experience the surrounding landscape from various angles.

A copper bell pavilion at the summit was built to mark Taiwan's transition following the end of Japanese occupation. The site connects to the reshaping of the region during this turning point in the island's history.

The mountain trails connect to Sanxia Old Street and Zushi Temple, combining outdoor activities with traditional architectural exploration of the region.

Access the trails from Renai Road near Sanxia Old Street, where parking is available at the bell pavilion area. The paths are straightforward to walk and work well for a short morning or afternoon visit.

The summit provides clear views of National Highway 3 and Dahan River, stretching across Taoyuan Plateau toward the Taipei Basin.
