Republic of Chocolate, Chocolate museum and factory in Bade District, Taiwan
The Republic of Chocolate building features an exterior design that resembles a halved chocolate bar, reaching twenty stories into the Taoyuan skyline.
Established in 2012 by Hunya Food Corporation, this facility marks Asia's first dedicated chocolate museum, following 36 years of confectionery production experience.
The museum presents comprehensive exhibits about chocolate manufacturing, from growing cacao trees in the greenhouse to creating finished products through guided tours.
The facility operates from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM between May and October, and from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM from November to April, with final tickets sold at 3:30 PM.
Visitors participate in hands-on chocolate making sessions and taste chocolate-infused dishes at the museum's restaurant, which combines local and international flavors.
