Dashulin Bridge, Cable-stayed bridge in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
Dashulin Bridge spans the Dahan River with a distinctive inverted Y-shaped tower rising approximately 136 meters above the water. The structure connects Sanchong and Banqiao districts and serves vehicle traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians simultaneously.
The bridge opened in 1994 and significantly improved connections between the two riverbanks in the region. This structure became an important part of New Taipei City's transportation network from its completion onward.
The central tower design incorporates Chinese symbolism through its shape, which represents the character for 'north' in traditional writing.
The bridge provides separate lanes for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, making it safe for all users to cross simultaneously. Connected cycling routes along both riverbanks allow visitors to extend their journeys in either direction.
This engineering structure holds the distinction of being the longest symmetrical single-pylon cable-stayed bridge across Asia, measuring over one kilometer in length.
