Yehliu Ocean World, Oceanarium in Wanli District, Taiwan
The Yehliu Ocean World features an extensive aquarium system with a 100-meter underwater tunnel where visitors walk through marine environments.
The oceanarium started operations in 1980 and underwent significant repairs in 2013 after Typhoon Soulik caused damage costing 5 million New Taiwan dollars.
The Ocean Theater holds performances combining athletic diving, synchronized swimming, and marine animal demonstrations in front of 3,500 spectators.
Regular bus services connect Keelung Station to Yehliu Ocean World, making it accessible for visitors traveling from different parts of Taiwan.
The facility maintains specialized tanks for endangered species, including green turtles and hawksbill turtles, contributing to marine conservation efforts.
