Jiaoxi Hot Spring, Natural hot spring complex in Yilan County, Taiwan
The Jiaoxi Hot Spring features multiple facilities with mineral-rich waters maintaining a temperature of 64 degrees Celsius throughout the facility complex.
The indigenous tribes of Taiwan utilized these natural springs for their healing properties before Wu Sha initiated the first development plans in the area.
The springs form part of the Eight Lanyang Scenery collection, known as Tangwei Hot Spring, representing important natural landmarks in the Yilan region.
Visitors reach the springs via Taiwan Railways to Jiaoxi Station or by taking buses 1572, 1880, or 1915 from Taipei, with the journey lasting under one hour.
The water contains phenol titanium content, a mineral composition found in only two locations worldwide, with the other source located in Italy.
