Yingma Temple, Taoist temple in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan.
Located in a northern area of Taipei, Yingma Temple features ornate decorations, dragon carvings, and multiple altars dedicated to different Chinese deities.
The temple, established in 1738 by Fujian immigrants during the Qing dynasty, underwent reconstruction between 1919 and 1924 after natural disasters and fires.
The temple incorporates elements from Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, with Mazu, Guanyin, and Guan Yu receiving offerings from worshippers throughout the year.
Visitors can reach the temple via Taipei Metro, with numerous food vendors and market stalls operating in the surrounding neighborhood streets.
During World War II, American forces targeted the temple with bombs due to suspicions that Japanese forces stored military supplies within its walls.
