The Orthopedic Hospital and Residence is a mixed compound of medical and private rooms from the early modern period. The structure connects formal treatment spaces with family living areas under one related architectural design.

The building shows how medical work and home life mixed together in early 20th-century Taipei. You can still see how doctors and their families lived and worked within the same compound.
